Catherine Turner (She/Her)

Meditation guide/mentor

An Editor and Writer by trade, Catherine stepped onto the path of yoga and meditation about 20 years ago to help stay grounded whilst working in the fast paced world of glossy magazines. The changes were so profound she decided to deepen her practice at a remote Sivananda ashram in the Himalayas, then trained at London’s Triyoga before teaching whilst continuing to write for various titles including Psychologies, Porter and Conde Nast Traveller.

Her approach has always been about slow, meditative transformation rather than achieving the perfect yoga posture. Over the years, this naturally moved her towards simple, do-able sequences, therapeutic breathing techniques and meditation.

Of all the techniques she has experienced, Vedic meditation – whilst being practical – brought about such deep relaxation and expansive shifts, it compelled her to share it with others. This inspired immersion into further study and practice, culminating in an intensive Vedic meditation teacher training course in Bali with renowned teacher, Charlie Knoles. Catherine has since shared the Vedic meditation technique with hundreds of students of all levels, from all walks of life and is renowned for her warm and inclusive approach.

She also recently co-founded Kind meditation with Bill Lynds, and together they hold regular courses in central London as well as offering one to one mentoring; bespoke sessions; corporate and public guided meditations and workshops.
