Lauren Lovatt is a Plant-Based Chef and Entrepreneur. The founder of the Plant Academy in London and the woman behind Feed Your Mind Candy, a project dedicated to inspiring better mental health through food.
Early on in her career, Lauren set up an aspirational Vegan restaurant, Asparagasm, which led her to host her own Plant based pop up nights around Europe whilst gaining a wealth of experience developing recipes, writing menus and creating events.
Now teaching worldwide from Bali to Barcelona as well as at prestigious institutions such as Leiths school of food and wine & Alchemy Academy Bali her passion lies in sharing and inspiring knowledge for plant-based food. Working on the global impact she collaborates with visionaries to bring dreams to life through food. Setting up Concepts internationally most recently curating the menus for HOY – Paris’ first plant-based boutique hotel in Montmartre.
With a keen eye for plating and a passion for the most vibrant, seasonal ingredients. Her style is all about using natural ingredients, elevated. Always with a focus on local and seasonal produce with sprinkles of apoptogenic herbs and tonics.
With this drive to bring dreams to life through food Lauren most recently set up the ‘Plant Academy’ in East London a Food studio, test kitchen and learning space showcasing the best in plant-based cuisine. The Plant Academy inspires passion through plants through teaching cutting edge courses that enable students to discover and express their essence through food and have a positive impact on the food system. Constantly moving towards an even more sustainable, creative and delicious future of food.
